How a Yorkshire chippy got online in a matter of days

Two fish and chip shops, one in Beverley and one in Helmsley. The owner had a week to switch their online ordering over and link it to their POS. Slerp had them set up and onboarded in two days.

Fresh fish, proper chips

Lairgate Fisheries is at 36-38 Lairgate, in the middle of Beverley. Bridge Street Fisheries is on Bridge Street in Helmsley. Same owner, same idea.

Fish sourced fresh every day. Every chip cut by hand. All of it fried in beef dripping. Haddock, hake, plaice, scampi, homemade fishcakes and Andrew Jones pies.

The owner, John Warke, needed online ordering for both shops that worked with his point of sale. It had to replicate the set-up they already had, ready for a change over. He had one week.

They were moving off Vita Mojo after leaving the franchise. Daniel Clayton, the technology consultant running the project, compared Slerp with Storekit and Flipdish. Slerp won on the delivery network, the ordering system and how fast it could be running.

Two shops, one place to order

Their badge in the header. Their fish and chips at the top of the menu. Their blue on every button. Customers pick a shop, then delivery or collection.
