A 1920s New Orleans sandwich, under a neon sign in Kingston

The story goes that in 1920s New Orleans, the Martin brothers fed striking tram workers for free. Meat and seafood scraps on French loaves. The workers became the "poor boys". So did the sandwich.

Poor Boys serves that sandwich on Wadbrook Street. Fried chicken, shrimp, beef and oysters, or build your own. Dirty onion rings and fried pickles on the side.

A lot of that food leaves in a box. Poor Boys wanted those orders on its own app, with its own name and its own customers.
